The vaccination against rabies is strongly advised, but not compulsory. The animal’s health record and identification papers must be handed over to the pension during the stay.

The owner is conscious of the fact that, in spite of the vaccination, the dog risks contracting kennel cough while being cared for in a kennel environment as well as the day-to-day contact with other dogs in a group setting. PETSITTING SàRL will not be held responsible in case of contamination in spite of the vaccination but will arrange for the necessary treatment in case of the appearance of the symptoms during the period of care.

In the following cases, the pension cannot be held responsible: if the dog gets looses and runs away and contracts the hereafter enumerated diseases, or even in the event of death:

PETSITTING SàRL reserves the right to refuse the entrance of an animal, which appears to be sick or contagious. Females in heat and non-castrated males are not admitted to the pension. The owners of non-sterilized females will have to stipulate the date of the last period during which the female was in heat before admittance to the pension is permitted.

Animals must have had an internal de-worming treatment (vermifuge) and external anti-parasitic treatment against fleas and ticks before the entering the pension. It is recommended to worm the animal 15 days after the stay. The pension refuses all liability if the animal has parasites after this stay in the pension, which would be attributable to the administration of an ineffective antiparasitic treatment administered before admittance. If a parasitic state harmful to the proper hygiene of the pension, or a health problem is detected, the animal will undergo, at the expense of the owner, disinfection or a veterinary visit.

Article 3b: PERSONAL OBJECTS

The pension accepts the personal objects (toys, carpets, mats, baskets) but refuses all liability in case of damage.

Article 4 : DISEASES AND ACCIDENTS

The owner commits to advise PETSITTING SàRL of any possible health problems, emotional, and behavioral issues and the veterinary treatments appropriate for his animal. In case of disease, accident or wounding of the animal arising during the stay in our establishment, the owner permits PETSITTING SàRL to proceed with the care the latter considers necessary. Expenses ensuing from such care must be reimbursed by the owner upon the production of documentary evidence emanating from the veterinarian.

In case of a bite or wound inflicted by another dog, the owner of latter will be held responsible and will have to take care of expenses.

It is hereby specified that hygiene and disinfection of buildings are assured daily. The pension is never responsible for the health of the animal: its unique obligation in this matter consists of, if it is noticed by the suspect signs, in having the boarder examined by the veterinarian attached to the establishment, and following the eventual veterinary prescriptions, and as such at the expense of the owner of the animal.

The owner must be insured by a civil liability insurance policy covering its animal, and remains responsible for all possible damage caused by his animal during its stay at the pension, except for grave faults attributable to PETSITTING SàRL and recognized as such. Boarding an animal does not result in a pure and simple transfer of responsibility. Thus, damages, except those done to green spaces, noise pollution or stains/messes (urine, feces, bloody discharge during times of heat) inside the habitat will be the object of an additional invoicing. The pet owner entrusts his animal to PETSITTING SaRL in full knowledge of the height of the fence railings (1,60m) The pension cannot be held responsible should the animal jump the fence and run off.

Any animal 13 years old or more will not be autopsied except upon the express request of the owner.

Article 6 : ABANDONMENT

In case the owner cannot pick up his animal on the date stipulated in the contract, the customer commits to inform PETSITTING SaRL. Failing this, 15 days after the expiry date of the contract, the pension can hand over the animal to an animal protection association (or shelter/refuge), and all the supplemental expenses will be charged to the owner.
