GENERAL CONDITIONS OF USE

EFFICIENCY

To avoid any misunderstandings and errors of planning, every request must be sent solely by e-mail to this address: petsitting@pt.lu

We commit to answering your request(s) within 72 hours (except on weekends and periods of intense activity in particular during the school holidays).

1st MEETING

An initial meeting of a maximal duration of 60 minutes will be carried out to meet you, get acquainted with your dog and collect the information necessary for the optimal care of your dogduring your absence is mandatory.

CONTRACT

Each service rendered is formalized by a contract duly completed and signed.

IDENTIFICATION AND VACCINATION

It is mandatory that your dog :

  • Be up to date on its vaccinations (more than 15 days and less than 1 year) against : Canine distemper, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, Kennel cough & Rage

  • To be chipped or to be tattooed

  • Has a anti-parasitic treatment

The animal’s health and identification papers must be handed over to the pension during the stay.

The owner is conscious of the fact that, despite of the vaccination, the dog risks contracting kennel cough while being cared in a kennel environment as well as the day-to-day contact with other dogs. The pension will not be held responsible in case of contamination despite of the vaccination but will arrange for the necessary treatment in case of the appearance of the symptoms during the period of care.

CONDITIONS OF REFUSAL AND ACCEPTANCE OF AN ANIMAL

Dog breeds listed by the law of May 9, 2008 are not accepted.

The pension reserves his right to refuse the entrance of a dog, which appears to be sick or contagious.

Females in heat and non-castrated males are not admitted in the pension.

The owners of non-sterilized females will have to stipulate the date of the last period during which the female was in heat before any reservation.

Dogs must have had an internal de-worming treatment (vermifuge) and external anti-parasitic treatment against fleas and ticks before the entering the pension. The pension refuses all liability if the dog has parasites after his stay in the pension, which would be attributable to the administration of an ineffective antiparasitic treatment administered before admittance. If a parasitic state harmful to the proper hygiene of the pension, or a health problem is detected, the dog will undergo, at the expenses of the owner, disinfection or a veterinary visit.

INSURANCE AND PERSONAL OBJECTS

The pension is registered and assured under the civil and professional liability. The insurance subscribed by the pension will not be activated should any claim be based on false declarations by the owner of the dog, concerning the health, its vaccinations, identification and medical history.

Any deterioration related to a dog will be the entire responsibility of the owner.

The pension accepts the personal objects (toys, beds, baskets…) but refuses all liability in case of damage.

FOOD

The owners supply the food for their dog. If necessary, the company commits to provide your stock at your expenses.

Every boarder will receive his daily meal(s) corresponding to his usual diet.

WALKS

During walks, dogs will necessarily be kept on a leash in town or according to the current municipal regulation at the place the walk takes place. Outside these zones, if the dog is obedient, a progressive then total release will be possible.

Every dog ​​that must remain on a leash, due its instinct or at the request of the owner, must be able to be walked in good conditions, calm and well-trained ‘on a loose leash and without pulling’.

ILLNESS, EMERGENCY and DETERIORATION

The owner commits to advise the pension of any possible health problems, emotional and behavioural issues and the veterinary treatments appropriate for his dog.

In case of disease, accident or wounding of the dog arising during the stay in the pension, the owner permits the pension to proceed with the care the latter considers necessary. Expenses ensuing from such care must be reimbursed by the owner upon the production of documentary evidence emanating from the veterinarian.

In case of a bite or wound inflicted by another dog, the owner of latter will be held responsible and will have to take care of expenses.

The owner must be insured by a civil liability insurance policy covering its dog and remains responsible for all possible damage caused by his dog during its stay at the pension. Boarding a dog does not result in a pure and simple transfer of responsibility. Therefore, destruction or damage caused to infrastructure will be subject to additional invoicing.

The dog owner entrusts his animal to the pension in full knowledge of the height of the fence railings (1,60m to 2m). The pension cannot be held responsible should the dog jump the fence and run off.

DEATH OF AN ANIMAL

In case of the death of a dog during its stay, an autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause(s) of death. A report will be established by the veterinarian, and a certificate will be delivered to the owner at the latter's expenses. Any dog 13 years old or more will not be autopsied except upon the express request of the owner.

The pension does not have the authority to decide on euthanasia and/or cremation. The owner must therefore ensure that they can be reached if the decision has to be made.

Make sure to inform your veterinarian of your wishes regarding the end of your dog's life.

ABANDONMENT

In case the owner cannot pick up his dog on the date stipulated in the contract, the customer commits to inform the pension. Failing this, 15 days after the expiry date of the contract, the pension can hand over the animal to an animal protection association (or shelter/refuge), and all the supplemental expenses will be charged to the owner.

VALIDITY OF THE OFFER, RESERVATION and PAYMENT

-       For the DAYCARE service :

Contracts are available until December 31 of the year of publication.

Prices are adjusted on January 1 of each year (indexation, energy costs, etc.)

An invoice is sent at the end of the month with the count of days and the amount to be paid.

The invoice must be paid upon receipt

 -       For the BOARDING service :

The offers are available 7 days from the date of emission of the offer.

For last-minute requests (less than 15 days in advance), the offers are available 48 hours.

It is mandatory that all reservations be made by return email and the payment of the sums due, before the date of validity at the latest, as indicated of the offer to guarantee the availability.

50 % deposit at the time of reservation before the deadline indicated on the offer and the balance on the last day of care, net amount and without any discount, by bank transfer to our account BCEE LU97 0019 2655 9715 7000

The daily price includes the accommodation and one walk during the day. The customer supplies the food, the treats and any other accustomed food.

Any stay booked is a stay due, even if the owner collects his animal in advance.

CANCELLATION

-       For the DAYCARE service :

Any cancellation must be made 48 heures in advance at the latest otherwise the day will be charged.

In case of a reservation during school holidays, as places are limited, any cancellation must be made at least 15 days in advance.

-       For the BOARDING service :

Any cancellation must be made 30 days in advance at the latest otherwise the deposit will not be returned. The delay is increases to 60 days for school holidays and long week-ends.

For any cancellation less than 30 days (or 60 days for school holidays and long week-ends) in advance, the amount of the order will be charged in its entirety.
